Mother’s Day Tea

This morning I got to go to Harlyn’s preschool’s Mother’s Day Tea. It was such a sweet event! Harlyn’s teachers put so much love and thought into this. When we arrived, there were gifts for us at the table (a All About My Mom fill in the blank sheet—hilarious!, a picture of each kid in a small frame with a message to us, and a few other goodies). When the kids first came into the room, they stood up front and sang us 4 or 5 songs. Harlyn was singing her little heart out! Even other moms and grandmas told Harlyn how beautiful her singing was. Then they all came to their tables and we lined up to get some food. Oh my goodness, I did not expect that spread! They had deli meats and cheeses, little sandwiches of all types, fruits, veggies, desserts…it was crazy.

Harlyn has been talking about this for months. MONTHS. She told me while we were eating that this is “the best day EVER!”

We also were presented with a handprint art gift and a mini flower pot with a flower growing in it.

I love these little programs and events they do at the preschool. Harlyn is always so excited and it just melts my heart. Good thing it’s not time for Kindergarten just yet! I will happily make these memories for one more year.
