Eeeks! It’s the most wonderful time of the year! If you’re like me, the day after Thanksgiving, all the Christmas stuff comes out. And that means the Christmas book bin (which is definitely our heaviest bin!) also gets unpacked.

When Harlyn was little, we did the whole 25 Books of Christmas thing and she opened a new book every day in December up to Christmas Day. We didn’t stop there though, because both kids get new Christmas books each year…and we are starting to get a really good collection.

To this day, I still have Christmas books from my own childhood!! I hope that Harlyn and Maverick are still looking through their Christmas books 30 years from now too.

So, let’s talk about some super cute Christmas books!

1.Tallulah’s Nutcracker

If you know anything about me, you know that I’m a sucker for all things Nutcracker. So a book about a little girl who gets to dance in The Nutcracker is my jam. Plus, the cover of this book is so cute, it gets a spot on the display shelf automatically.

2. Bear Stays Up for Christmas

In our house, there’s no Bear book we don’t adore. Of course we had to grab up this festive one! I think Bear is such a sweet character—and all his friends are great too.

3. That’s Not My Snowman

We have several of these books lying around for the other 11 months of the year, but this Christmas book is great for young kids. It’s touch and feel, short, and simple. It makes it a great pick for our Maverick at 1.5 years old…and big sister enjoys it too!

4. Christmas Time Is Here

Lift the flap for the win!! This book is just fun, cute, and colorful…with TONS of flaps! Harlyn has loved this book for years, and as soon as I’m confident that Maverick won’t just rip the thing to shreds, I’ll show him too.

5. Llama Llama Holiday Drama

We have two Llama Christmas books, and both are cute! The other one is Llama Llama Jingle Bells. Don’t you just love this sweet, innocent little llama and his mama!?!

6. Santa is Coming to North Carolina

I love these state books! They are a bit longer, so they’re perfect for Harlyn to enjoy without her little brother, and it’s fun to see familiar cities mentioned in the book!

7. Eight Jolly Reindeer

The cutest, sparkliest counting book! Can you name all eight?! 😉

8. Dear Santa

Another lift the flap that I love. Santa can’t quite get the gift right…it’s always too something. Thankfully, he figures out the perfect present just in time!

9. God Bless Our Christmas

This book is a good reminder of the real reason for the season…Jesus. Although we talk a lot about Jesus’ birth in our home, we don’t have a ton of books about it.

10. 12 Dogs of Christmas

Get ready to sing! Luckily, my kids don’t seem to mind my awful singing voice. Harlyn thinks this book is hilarious. Just watch out on Day 12!!!

Do you have a Christmas book collection for your kids? What are your favorites? We’ve got so many, but I love buying new ones each year! What should I add to our shelf next?
