Hi! I’m Meghan. I’m so glad you stopped by!
Do you ever feel like you’re just completely average as a mom? I know I do. I see all these Mommy Bloggers who are so cool. They have these beautiful white kitchens with farmhouse sinks and they take super awesome pictures where their kids all match and there are no toys sneaking into the background. And I’m like…wow!!! That is soooo neat! I don’t have that house or matching outfits on my kids, but I love me some Mommy Bloggers. But it got me thinking: would anyone care about what an average mom has to say? Can a mom with a full time job outside the home who has no fashion sense and whose house is (sadly) never going to look like HGTV Magazine have a blog too?? Well, here I am. Let’s celebrate our average-ness together, okay?!
Here on the blog you’ll find a mix of motherhood, fitness (especially running!), personal growth, and faith.
I’m 38 and I’ve been married to my wonderful husband Brandon for fifteen years. We have two amazing kids, Harlyn (9) and Maverick (6) who are the biggest joy while simultaneously driving me bonkers. We have two dogs (Bella, 12, a yellow lab mix and Violet, 5, a feist/terrier mix) who are a little crazy, a little sweet, and a lot hairy. We live in North Carolina but are originally from Michigan. We much prefer the warmer weather, so we’ve been here more than a decade and cry a little when it snows 😉 I love to read, write, podcast, run, and drink iced coffees. I love Jesus and my family. I work in healthcare…and get this…my husband and I work together. Yep. At the same company. With offices only one hallway away. And if that’s not crazy enough…we LIKE it. So much so that we also decided to start Growth Reframed Podcast together, too!! You can check that out by clicking the “Podcast” tab at the top of the page.
Anyway. I hope you’ll hang out a while. I’d love to hear from you! Email me at thisaveragemom@gmail.com or find me on Instagram or Facebook.
If you are wondering where to start reading my blog, may I suggest THIS POST? Here you’ll find all the ways you too can be an “average mom.” 🙂
