Can you believe we’re already a week into February?? It’s crazy! Before we know it, it’ll be Valentine’s Day!
If you’re anything like us, you get your kids a little something for Valentine’s, so I figured I’d round up a few ideas. We still need to actually get our littlest loves their presents, so I’m hoping to inspire myself in this post too!
We don’t have this book, and I’ve never seen it in person, but I think Maverick would like this one! He seems to enjoy board books when he is in the mood to read, and every young toddler loves touch and feel, right?!?! Plus, it’s Elmo, so I doubt there’s much for a 1.5 year old not to enjoy.

If you have a doll or stuffed animal obsessed kid, here’s a cute Valentine-y mermaid! I think she’s just adorable, and I know my Harlyn would flip if she had another mermaid friend to snuggle with.
My kids BOTH love to play with tea sets in the tub. In fact, If you are looking for me at 5:45 PM, there’s a good chance I’m trying to referee a bath time fight over the tea pots. A cute bath set like this one might be the ticket! On second thought, we’ll need to order two.
Apparently this is a toy of the year finalist? Well, Mav doesn’t have this one somehow, and I think this might actually keep him busy for a while. Plus, it says it helps with fine motor skills, so everyone is a winner.
My preschooler is obsessed with anything you can add to the bath—bath bombs, fizz drops, bath crackles, bubble bath…you name it. Bath bombs make Harlyn feel super cool though since she knows I use them on occasion too!
These just make me smile! Especially if I think of my Mav Boy running around in them. Cozy, cute, and perfect for this time of year.
7) The Marvelous Book of Magical Horses
I think that any young girl would love paper dolls…but paper horses?? Even more fun to dress up! I played with paper dolls when I was little, so I think this would be a cute gift AND I’d feel nostalgic too!
We don’t have a race car in our house, but Brandon says he always had them growing up! This version looks like a good first one to try! Bright colors and looks easy enough for ME to drive 😉
I picked a coloring book for toddlers because my kids are younger, but I bet you can find them for any age! I actually enjoy coloring, so I don’t mind when Harlyn and Mav want to get out the crayons and coloring books. Plus…it’s a quiet activity. I love quiet activities.
As you probably can tell by now, we like bath time around here! We don’t have a fishing toy yet, and I think both kids would think “fishing” in the tub is pretty funny. Of course, with only one pole and three fish, I think we might be in for some fighting on those nights where they take a bath together!
