Two weeks ago, we were in Carolina Beach for our annual beach trip! We’ve gone to Carolina Beach each summer since Mav was a baby (2017). It’s always a fun time, but I swear as the kids get older, we find it more enjoyable every year.

We went Sunday-Sunday this year, and Brandon’s parents came with us. This year, we renewed our vows on the beach!!! (Be sure to check back next week because I’ll be sharing all about our renewal!) But that left 6 other days of R&R, which we desperately needed.
We were so thankful to have all sorts of extra guests in and out of the beach house this year! My dad and brother came for the vow renewal, my mom and stepdad came the day before to sneak in some quality time with us at the ocean, and my sister and her boyfriend came for several days and we had a BLAST with them!
The weather was mostly perfect, with a few rain showers here and there, but we made it out to the beach every single day!
We made sure we went to Squigley’s Ice Cream once (a fun place we found last year!), and we found a really beachy and cute restaurant called the Lazy Pirate. Other than that, we spent our time soaking up the sun (and maybe having a pina colada or two!!).
