What I’m Reading

Reading is one of my very favorite things to do, so today I want to share with you some of the books I’ve been reading lately!

Rage Against the Minivan

I loved this book! This one just spoke to me–I enjoy motherhood books SO MUCH and since the subtitle of this one is Learning to Parent Without Perfection, it only seemed right that this average mom should digest it! I ended up sending my copy to my cousin when I was done…because if there’s one person I know understands my struggle, it’s her. She GETS me, and I knew she’d get this book.

The 5 Love Languages of Children

A couple months ago, I read the 5 Love Languages, and I got so much out of it that I knew I wanted to read the one specifically written about kids. I don’t think that you HAVE to read this if you’ve read the original, but I did appreciate it because of the (obviously) kid-specific examples. If you want to read my post about finding your child’s love language, you can find it HERE!

The Key to Happily Ever After

I rarely meet chick lit I don’t like, so if you’re picky, don’t take recs from me. I love it ALL!!! I picked up this book and just knew I’d think it was cute–wedding planner sisters?? YUP. I’m here for it! If you want something easy and sweet, this checks the boxes.

Party of Two

Another easy chick-lit pick, although this one leans R-rated. I told Brandon that although the book itself was a cute story, I wasn’t sure I’d pick up another book by this author, because of the R-rated parts.

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth

This is one of the most fascinating books I’ve read in a looong time. The idea here is that we all have a wealth “thermostat”–and it’s already been “set” to the amount of money we’ll make/we’re internally comfortable making. So if we want to have more money–we have to think differently and reset that thermostat. This book walks through the process. Highly recommend–whether you’re living comfortably, have struggled your whole life with money, or if you just can’t breakthrough to the next level of income.

Happy Today: A Guided Journal to Genuine Joy

I’m still in the process of reading/journaling this one, but this journal really makes you stop and appreciate what you have right here and right now. Who doesn’t want to feel happier???

What have you been reading lately?? Leave me some recommendations in the comments so I can get to work!!

Books are one of my favorite things! I love to sneak in reading any time I can. I’m sharing six books I’ve read recently and hoping you’ll share some recommendations with me! #booklover
