Halloween 2019

Another Halloween has come and gone! Now that it’s NOVEMBER, the time will just fly right on by and before we know it, it’ll be January 1. Or at least that’s how it always seems to me. It’s Halloween, and then 3 seconds later, it’s January.

Anyway…this year for Halloween we had a beautiful mermaid princess and a handsome but dorky little Blippi.

The morning of Halloween, the evening weather forecast was not looking good. It was supposed to be torrential downpours, tornado warnings…not your ideal trick or treating weather. We prepped Harlyn and told her that if we couldn’t go trick or treating, we’d buy her lots of candy and let her trick or treat in our house on the weekend. Thankfully, the weather held off until we were back home and the kids were snug in their beds.

Our kids won’t rally for much, but for Halloween, they love to stay out as long as they possibly can. We ended up out for about 2 hours and 15 minutes, til they both decided it was just time to get home.

This year, we got to spend Halloween with Mimi and Papa (my mom and stepdad) for the first time! They came over right after we got home from Mav’s daycare party and we all headed out–we started about 5:15 hoping that wouldn’t be too early but also that we’d be able to beat the impending weather.

It was a fun (but tiring!!) night. The kids are working on eating all that candy…but they are more than willing to share it with us! Here’s some pics from our Halloween!!

Did you trick or treat with your kids this Halloween? What did they dress up as?

Halloween fun is on the blog! We had a mermaid princess and Blippi this year, and our kids LOVED every second of the night. #halloween #trickortreat #family
